Volunteering with the 1000 Smiles Foundation in Ensenada, Mexico was life-changing and incredibly rewarding. As a nursing student, I was able to lend my skills, not only from lab or classroom learning, but from life experience. Seeing children’s lives transformed after receiving treatments and care reaffirmed why I chose nursing. The gratitude, resilience, and community at 1000 Smiles Foundation were truly inspirational. I am excited for the next volunteer opportunity with 1000 Smiles Foundation.
