50th AAMN Conference 2025 – Orlando, FL Oct 16-18

About three years ago, S.D.A.M.N. was born—and we’ve grown by leaps and bounds ever since. At this year’s AAMN 50th Anniversary Conference, San Diego proudly took home two awards, both in Leadership!

Our president and founder, Adam Brotman, was nominated for the AAMN Lee Cohen Award, recognizing his visible, commendable, and substantial contributions to local chapter and membership development. The extraordinary Louisa Sandt, our current Vice President of Communications, earned the Emerging Leader Award. Her strength and fortitude alone were enough to secure this honor, but the praises from the national board were even more abundant.

We also had the privilege of sponsoring an up-and-coming nurse leader, Cesar Alcantara. Set to graduate from the Marsha Fuerst School of Nursing at the end of this year, Cesar has consistently stepped up and answered the call whenever S.D.A.M.N. has needed him most. As a veteran and father, he understands the true meaning of loyalty and duty. Cesar represents us well both at home and on the national stage, and he was an all-star at the conference. You can read his reflection on the impact of the conference on our Testimonial Page.
