KidsCon 2025 – Heart Revolution Church

Kid Con was back for another week of joy, chaos, and far too many splinters. 2025 was the year they decided to step it up at Heart Revolution Church in National City, planning four days of jam-packed activities—three of which included field trips. Mission Bay kept everyone cool during the intense heat, the San Diego Zoo left them in awe, and a trampoline park gave that K–5th grade energy a place to run wild. SDAMN volunteers rose to the challenge. With Dramamine in one hand and a disposable ice pack in the other, we mobilized creatively, bringing a sense of safety and security to 130 elementary school students. Nursing students from all over San Diego got a small taste of pediatrics, and for some of our practicing nurses, it was a stroll down memory lane, bringing back memories of their own camp experiences. A few scrapes, upset stomachs, and a little too much sun were the most common reasons for visits to our pop-up infirmary. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2026!
