Volunteering at the Life Rolls On event was a life-changing experience. I worked in the medical tent, assisting people with disabilities, and was deeply moved by their strength and the power of community support. Watching participants rise to the challenge with help from dedicated volunteers showed me how much can be achieved with encouragement and resources. Before volunteering, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Men in Nursing. As a woman, I wondered if I’d feel out of place. But the environment was inclusive, respectful, and collaborative. It was clear the organization empowers all nurses to positively impact healthcare, regardless of gender. My doubts disappeared instantly.
I’m grateful to have participated and proud to be connected to an organization that values compassion, service, and unity. This experience not only broadened my perspective but reaffirmed my commitment to making a difference in both healthcare and the community.
Warmly,
Katrina Jenkins
