Your voices were heard, and we were proud to host our Annual Open Membership Meeting on 12/04/25 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. While attendance was minimal, those who joined us were highly engaged and demonstrated a genuine passion for the future growth and direction of SDAMN. The meeting provided an opportunity for members to ask questions and share input, while non-members were able to gain insight into what SDAMN is all about.
Key discussion topics included expansion of high school health education initiatives, development of professional programming for new graduates and early-career nurses, exploration of continuing education and webinar opportunities, and strategies to strengthen communications, visibility, and member engagement. Planning also focused on balancing educational programming, social connection, and fundraising efforts to support long-term sustainability.
The meeting concluded with collaborative discussion around future event planning, meeting cadence, and partnerships that align with SDAMN’s mission of mentorship, inclusivity, and community service. SDAMN extends sincere thanks to USD Hahn School of Nursing for hosting the meeting and providing dinner, and to all attendees whose insight and passion continue to shape the organization’s growth.
