56th Annual Chicano Park Celebration

We are looking for community minded Student RNs and RNs to join us in providing essential health services during the 56th Annual Chicano Park Festival. 

Event Details

 Saturday, April 25th

9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

 Chicano Park, 1950 National Ave, San Diego, CA 92113 

As a volunteer, you will assist with:

  • Blood pressure and glucose checks 
  • Health education and first aid support 
  • Narcan and fentanyl test strip distribution (Note: specific training is required for this) 

Please sign up by April 19th to participate! Shifts are limited, so respond quickly to secure your preferred time.

Charlene Barrett
Charlene Barrett is a newly graduated RN with a focus on education and community outreach. She is currently pursuing her second career after spending over a decade providing individualized childcare to families across the country. Charlene the SDAMN Education Department's Chair and she actively helps lead the Association's Blood Pressure courses at local high schools and is working on setting up other outreach activities. Her goal through SDAMN is to promote health education, and help inspire the next generation of diverse healthcare professionals in the San Diego community.
